The US is moving overseas troops home, and it's about time. We don't need so many troops stationed abroad anymore, we only need weapons caches in strategic locations. We can then fly the troops in at a moment's notice, much more easily than we could 50 years ago when these bases were first established. It'll be cheaper, and the soldiers will be a lot happier.
