The comment login system is acting strange. If you get an error message saying you aren't logged in when you are, just reload the comment page and try again. I'm trying to track this bug down, but it's not easy.
The article seems to use "Latino" and "Hispanic" interchangeably. It might be worth noting that 1/3 of people in Latin America don't live in a Spanish-speaking country ;)
Then again, "Latino" is often used as a racial term, rather than to refer to people from Latin America. And are people from Spain "Hispanic"? (Portugal is also in the area that was once called "Hispania"). The meaning of these words may remain vague until Americans become more comfortable talking about race and ethnicity. I don't really care, I just like to point out how imprecise the language is. (And to point out that, y'know, Brazil exists. And French Guyana).
