The strength of the democratic system is that lots of people get a say in how things are run which reduces the power of tyrants and kleptocrats. The fatal chink in the armor is that some people are so dumb they shouldn't be let anywhere near a voting booth.

I've written before that voting is not a right and our society is foolish if we don't keep the idiots among us away from the levers of power.

The simplest explanation that I ever heard to define a democracy is two wolves and a sheep sitting around a table voting on what's for dinner.

This woman in the video is unreachable through any form of logic. It is an unreal reality and incomprehensible to try and understand.

This woman is not stone-walling because she is convinced. She is very good at her job. Stay on message; don't be deterred or harassed into admitting ANY opposing interpretation of the facts. Never allow the opponent even one of his own facts.

It's about power. And the left is winning.
The right tries to argue with logic, and logic loses every time to an emotional argument in the public's eyes.

The right, through inaction and moral decay has gotten us here, and the left is taking us for all we are worth, and more. We got the government we deserve.

The whole interview is pretty embarrassing. He just constantly interrupts with the same facile point, or to patronise the woman by calling her a "nice lady". If the level of discourse on American news were elevated, maybe the electorate would rise with it?
