I just finished reading "A Deepness in the Sky" by Vernor Vinge, and it was brilliant. If you enjoy space opera, intrigue, a complex cast, twists, and a satisfying ending then I highly recommend it.

Next up: "The Book of the New Sun" by Gene Wolfe.
