Happy December! Click below for some pictures of our first snowfall.

Here are some pictures of last night, as the snow was falling.

You can see my wife's tracks in the snow as she dragged the dog out to do his business.

With the weather outside so frightful, there's not much to do but make gingerbread houses.

Then this morning, the gingerbread neighborhood!

And here are a few more from various windows.

One of the prettiest things I've seen recently happened shortly after all the leaves were gone from the trees and it was humid as well as below freezing one night. The result was a nice layer of frost on all of the trees. Everything was gray-ish white even though there was no snow. Very pretty when the morning sun hit it.

Wow - lots of excitement for a transplanted California boy. Let's see, you experienced a major summer storm complete with a tornado, and now ice, wind and snow. Welcome to the Midwest!

I'm envious! It got up to 77 degrees yesterday. (I'm in NC.) Hopefully, we'll cool down for Christmas! I've always wanted a white Christmas!

Don't be too envious, NC. What you and Mr. Williams don't know is that this snow will be gone in a couple of days and the St. Louis area still has an 80% chance of a brown Christmas.

Because it won't be white and the lawns won't be green anymore. Lots of festive dead zoysia.

Brian J.: Transplant from Wisconsin, who knows what a real winter is like and looks down upon St. Louisans who think this is real winter.

Brian J: No way, me too.. only I still live in Wisco.
