It's sad when illegal immigrant children suffer due to their illegal presence, but the blame for their suffering lies solely with their parents.

There were few [answers] Tuesday as agents began their initial sweep through Swift & Co. plants in six states, arresting illegal immigrants who had bought or stolen other people's identities to help them get Swift jobs.

Garcia, who said he has friends who work at the Greeley plant, was worried about the fate of schoolchildren whose parents were arrested. "Who is going to pick them up?" he asked.

The raids capped a 10-month investigation into an identity-theft scheme that may have hundreds of victims, both U.S. citizens and legal residents, officials said. ...

"They are taking mothers and fathers and we're really concerned about the children," said the Rev. Clarence Sandoval of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in Logan, Utah. "I'm getting calls from mothers saying they don't know where their husband was taken," he said.

If Sandoval and others are worried about the welfare of the children, they should direct their anger at the parents who smuggled their families into America illegally. The children are suffering because their parents broke the law, and that is sad, but it's not uncommon. Bad parents do things that hurt their kids all the time.

I don't know the prescedent for this type of sting, but I think that children under a certain age (maybe 16) should be deported along with their parents.

A close associate of mine, I won't say how I'm associated in light of today's raids, was brought into the country by her parents. She is probably very happy about that today as a 35 year old adult who is about to get her green card. Her dad just became a citizen. She is a productive, tax paying member of society with a lovely family.

Fuck those children. I'm worried about mine and those of my LEGAL countrymen. I'm worried about my as yet unborn grandchildren and those of my LEGAL countrymen. Americans have been taken advantage of and now it is time for that to stop. If our government gives amnesty to these 20 million illegals, it has committed trteason and each and every one of them should be charged, convicted and given the max sentence for treason during a time of war.

If you allow these 20 million illegals to be provided with amnesty - the welfare rolls will immediately jump to never seen before levels. Contrary to the Jewish media's propaganda, most Hispanic Americans do NOT support the amnesty of illegal aliens from Mexico or anywhere else. Hispanic's aren't stupid - they know they'll be the first ones displaced by illegal Mexicans willing to work longer hours for a third of the wages. If you support amnesty, you are either stupid, or a deluded traitor.

The Jewish media?

Wow, someone drank a little too much Kool-Aid this morning.

The stated reasons why most folks seem to oppose allowing some, most, or all illegal immigrants to stay seem all caught up in the theoretical. One of my favorite debate partners is always telling me that pragmatism can lead down some pretty dark alleys, but surely there is a pragmatic answer to all of this that doesn't end up destroying millions of lives and destroying the US economy, and on the other hand does not encourage the rest of Mexico to head to el Norte.

Randy, it isn't theoretical. It cost us real money. If you want them to stay why don't you pay for all their living expenses, health care, legal costs, etc. for their entire lives. Also pay more taxes for them as they use government resources. Also pay unemployment benefits to the legal Americans whose jobs they are taking away. When you pay for it then we can listen to your point of view.
