I don't know much about reading the weather because we didn't have much of it in Southern California. However, now that I'm in the middle of a blizzard in Missouri I guess it's time to learn.

Blizzard? Blizzard? Hoo hoo hoo hoo. You California boys are almost as funny as these southerners.
A couple of inches of snow a blizzard? This is too much.
Yeah, no kidding. A couple inches of snow is nothing.
Michael-
I love all of your posts about the weather in St. Louis. As a girl who lived in Ohio for 24 years, the past 2 years in California have been such a disappointment to me, weatherwise. It's 72 and sunny everyday. How boring!
I miss the sudden changes in weather, the thunderstorms and yes, all of the snow of my youth.
I suppose the grass is always greener and the weather is always better on the other side.
It's not a couple of inches, it's more like 12 inches with a coating of ice, 40-60 mph wind, zero windchill, and whiteouts with visibility, oh yardstick-ish. For us, that's blizzard.
Megan: I totally agree, everyone acts like we must be HATING the snow, but it's very Christmas-ey. SoCal became mundane after a couple of years. Maybe you guys will end up back out here sometime! :)
My favorite part about snow was waking up in the morning and having a perfectly pristine covering as far as the eye can see. The only way it gets better than that is if there is a single track of cat paw prints or bird tracks.
