The Senate has passed the Secure Fence Act of 2006 and both of California's leftist Democrats voted for it, surely a sign not only of the coming apocalypse but also that the outrage over illegal immigration is finally penetrating some of the the thick skulls within America's most unaccountable institution. The finaly vote was 80-19 in favor, largely because it's an election year and the Democrats are hoping to pick up seats the legal way. (Yet another tacit admission that conservative policies are more appealing to voters.)
