Representative Mark Foley (R-FL) has resigned from Congress after it was revealed that he sent sexual instant messages to teenage male pages. That's gross. Plus, he was the chairman of the House caucus on missing and exploited children, which makes his behavior doubly damning. At least he had the decency to resign immediately rather than pondering the meaning of "is". If he actually broke any laws, I hope he ends up in jail. The end.

Okay let's try and focus on what matters here. The boy was underage, Foley was one of the members working on legislation to protect children from pediphiles preying on children, Republican members on the committee responsible for the Page program let Foley continue even after being notified in September 2005, the only Democrat on the committee was kept in the dark.
So now does the GOP stand for Grand O'Party or Grand O'Pediphiles?
josh: Yes, those are good questions. I hope that if it turns out Foley did something illegal and others helped him cover it up that they all get prosecuted.
