Am I the only one who thinks that some foods taste better when they're burnt?
- Wheat thins
- Popcorn (sometimes)
- Peanut butter cookies
What else? I think it has to do with a chemical reaction in the sugar in these high-carb foods.

I generally don't like things burnt.. but a nice brown and caramelized is very good.

Some foods that are definitely NOT good when burnt:
chocolate
garlic
eggs
certain kinds of cheese
most vegetables
sugar (caramel is great, burnt sugar isn't)
If you want to get away with burning anything, just call it "Cajun" or "Blackened".
My mother always loved burnt toast. She burned it black and loved it that way.
