Shining Force II by Sonic Co. for the Sega Genesis was one of the coolest tactical role-playing games ever. To relive some of the excitement from 1994 I recommend picking up the Gens Genesis emulator and a Shining Force II rom (which is only legal if you owned the game itself). The Shining Force games were excellent. Warsong was another classic turn-based strategy game on that system.
Yeah, I've got that emulator too. I love how it can play Sega CD games as well.
