Liz Pulliam Weston provides a list of "9 money rules to live by" that use simple terms to explain the basics of how to handle your money. A very good read for someone who wants to handle their money better, and a great reminder for someone who thinks they've got their bases covered.

That was a fantastic article by Weston. I think a lot of people, no matter how responsible they usually are with their money, need these kinds of reminders every now and then. Thanks for the link!

Indeed. I'm on pretty solid ground on most of those, but a reminder to consider opportunity costs of holding existing underperforming investments is always a good thing. It's disturbingly easy to keep owning a security simply because you've owned it for some time, regardless of how well it is currently performing relative to available alternative investments.
