HowStuffWorks claims to have a pretty complete list of Christmas songs with only twenty-six members. As they say, that explains why we tend to hear the same songs over and over.
- Away In A Manger
- Carol Of The Bells
- Deck The Halls
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
- Jingle Bells
- Joy To The World
- Hark, The Herald Angels Sing
- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
- I'll Be Home For Christmas
- It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
- Little Drummer Boy
- O Come All Ye Faithful
- O Holy Night
- O, Little Town of Bethlehem
- O Tannenbaum
- Rudolf the Red-Nose Reindeer
- Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
- Silent Night
- Silver Bells
- The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)
- The First Noel
- The Twelve Days of Christmas
- We Wish You A Merry Christmas
- What Child Is This?
- White Christmas
- Winter Wonderland
And over.
Also see my post from two years ago about The Twelve Days of Christmas.

The left out Good King Wenceslas, "Up on the House Top" (or whatever it's called), and Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo. Otherwise, it seems mostly complete.
If only it were the 12 days of Christmas. Instead, it's the 60 days of Christmas. The Halloween candy and costumes are barely off the shelves when the Christmas stuff arrives.
Christmas comes way too early elsewhere too, including almost all forms of media and entertainment.

The Straw Carol
I am not sure the last should be in there though. "Straw is yellow. Straw is soft." Who'd sing that for a chorus? (Well, besides the people at my church for the first ever Christmas program.)
I'm thinking there are others, but there aren't a lot.
And, to Mark, I finally found a reason to rejoice in the 60 days of Christmas. It means you can buy Christmas decorations in time to send them to Iraq and Afghanistan for the soldiers' holidays. I don't complain any more.
You won't find any of these reruns on the Best Christmas CD Ever.
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"
"Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer"
Don't know if anything from TV specials qualify. If so, put up anything that was played in "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", or any claymation-related song (think "Mr. Heatmiser").
And how can they forget Weird Al Yankovic's two stellar contributions ("Christmas at Ground Zero" and "The Night Santa Went Crazy".), or Ray Stevens' "Santa Claus Is Watching You"?
And if Jingle Bells qualifies, so does Frosty The Snowman.
In all, "pretty complete" is pretty much off the mark.
Could someone please send me the lyrics for the straw carol??
Thanks!
