Philadelphia has decorated their city hall with special effects lighting for a very cool effect.

I'm not much for putting up lights, but I love walking around the neighborhood and seeing what others have put up. Too bad my digital camera is too poor to take pics of the lights around my house.

I've always done the Christmas decorations in the office at work.. where I put up a beautiful tree with lots of blue lights and silver and blue ornaments.

At home, I decided to try a tree with all purple lights. They were kinda hard to find, but Target came to the rescue yet again. I have to say, it's different with all purple lights.. but it looks very nice. I broke up the purple light monotony by adding a mix of ornaments of almost every color.

And, of course, there's this very neat and well-done example.

In addition to the blue lights and silver and blue ornaments, our tree in the office also features several old CPU's (old 133MHz Pentium chips, defective Pentium 3's, etc.) that I turned into ornaments.. and the top of the tree features a couple of blue CD's.
