Leftists to the Rescue!

Back from Iran, Sean Penn attempts to help Katrina victims but ineptly becomes a victim himself.
EFFORTS by Hollywood actor Sean Penn to aid New Orleans victims stranded by Hurricane Katrina foundered badly overnight, when the boat he was piloting to launch a rescue attempt sprang a leak.Penn had planned to rescue children waylaid by Katrina's flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch.
The actor, known for his political activism, was seen wearing what appeared to be a white flak jacket and frantically bailing water out of the sinking vessel with a red plastic cup.
When the boat's motor failed to start, those aboard were forced to use paddles to propel themselves down the flooded New Orleans street.
A flak jacket isn't exactly the best floatation device. Hapless yet well-intentioned?
With the boat loaded with members of Penn's entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"
Or just desperately seeking a photo-op?
I thought he was still in Iran praisng their freedoms.
MW: I think you're unhealthy obsession with Sean Penn is something that requires professional help.
You're like a groupie who, instead of following Sean Penn because you adore him and need to make sure others adore him, follows Sean Penn because you deplore him and need to make sure others deplore him.
There are many people on the right I deplore... but I don't obsess over them like you obsess over Sean Penn.
Mark:
Gosh, the similarity in your description of MW to your own behavior on this site is amazing.
DD: You think I obsess over MW? If not, who is it you think I obsess over?
If I obsessed over MW or anyone else who posts here, I'd post rebuttals to *everything* posted by him or someone else. That's clearly not the case.
Of all the people that draws MW's ire, Sean Penn seems to draw it the most often... at least for as long as I've been a visitor of this site.
I don't think the bystander 'gets it'. Poor, misunderstood Sean Penn is doing his thing to promote New Orleans tourism. There's got to be an economy, no?
Mark: I'm obsessed with you.
Kidding.
DD: I'm flattered... but not interested (for obvious reasons). ;-)
Mark: Ok, well, I guess I'll cry in my beer can and get over it.
But really, 6 posts out of thousands hardly classifies as obsession.
DD: 6 posts about the musings of one inconsequential Hollywood actor seems pretty obsessive to me.
