I just could not get to bed last night without scouring eBay for something to buy. I have no idea why I felt so compelled, but I wanted a new gadget, gizmo, or toy, and I couldn't find anything at a reasonable price. There were some flash MP3 player/voice recorders that looked pretty sweet -- not that I ever listen to MP3s or record my voice -- but they quickly got bid up past my price level. I just got a new phone for work (without a camera), but I just don't feel complete. I deposited my first paycheck from my new job yesterday... what should I buy?

Well, since you asked for stuff to buy, I will shamelessly plug my products. (I put my business website as my URL this time, just for you.)
You should buy something for your mother to thank her for the many years of torment she went through to mold you into the man that you are. Mother's Day is coming up soon, and my new line of hand-dyed silk scarves is 20% off through the end of the month.
A 2005 Hyundai Elantra would be a good thing to buy. Or a million puppies. Or lots of chocolates.
:P
OR you could just buy someone's affection. Eh, you probably already have it anyway. ;)
I vote for the puppies.. especially golden retriever or labrador retriever puppies. They're the cutest, IMO. :)
As far as cars go, I'd have to say a new Honda Accord. I'm biased, though, because I have one (well, a 2004 Accord anyway).
I would go for an iPod Mini, a G5 iMac, a new PowerBook, or Canon Digital Elph SD400. But, that's just me.
I thought you wanted a powerful laser pointer. Just make sure you don't shine it at a plane...
JC: Oh, I do want a laser pointer! Thanks for reminding me.
Why not sponsor a child in addition to buying some cool knick-knack. One of our church's mercy offerings is Compassion International, where you can help a child (and his family) for $32/month. We currently sponsor one in India and will be adding another next month to celebrate a recent promotion. God Bless.
