We played Trivial Pursuit again tonight and I won both times. In the first game we played the 90s edition, and as soon as it became my turn I swept the board and got all six pie pieces without allowing anyone else to go. After that we decided to play a different version, because that one really was pretty easy. We played the 20th Anniversary edition next, and I again managed to win, but only by a single slice of pie. I'm good at all the subjects except sports, but I managed to get an easy one tonight for the single question I had to answer in that category. Go me!

I believe the slices are "cheese", not "pie". At least they were in the early days.

How's that for useless trivia?

Murdoc: What part of the country did you grow up in? That sounds like it could be a regional thing to me. I've never heard them referred to as anything but "pie". There's only one kind of cheese that comes in slices like that: laughing cow cheese. I suppose they could also be slices from a giant wheel of cheese, but those are pretty far from common these days.

No, I think cheese cards are used... or am I thinking of a different game?

Darn where were you last Saturday? I played this with 5 friends (3 women v. 3 men) and we lost miserably! I swear there are some wacked out questions in that 90's edition version. They are either boringly easily or amazingly obscure.
