Northern California has two false conceits:
1. They're a peer to New York, and
2. SoCal cares what they think.

3. Hetch Hetchy & cross-canals are a birth right.
This is totally off topic, but here in Columbia, Missouri, I just heard on the radio that they arrested Michael Williams for a spate of home invasions that have been going on recently.
Don't worry, you'll get a job soon. :)
I think you have it backwards, SoCal has the attitude problem.
1. The world revolves around SoCal
2. See number 1
Michael, what have you been up to?
All, I'm saying is, you don't hear of anyone with my name (married or maiden) doing things like that.
6k: No, we don't think the world revolves around us. We're very insular and don't really care what anyone else things about anything. We revolve around ourselves.
It might be considered conceited (not to mention ironic) to specifically point out that your region is somehow superior to another region, by saying we're not as conceited as they are. :)
Long ago I decided NorCal hates SoCal because of our weather. Technically they "live" in California but they might as well be somewhere in Washington or Oregon because it is always freezing balls in NorCal. And raining. Hands down it's sunshine jealousy.
Matt: See the comment that immediately proceeds yours.
WSK: Plus, I hear they have tiny weewees up there.
Yeah, I read it. The point still stands that if you really didn't care about NoCal, you never would have made this post. :)
Matt: That seems to be a different point, but maybe I mistook your earlier comment. Does total apathy require total silence? It would seem to me that total silence would imply a desire to suppress an existing opinion, in some cases anyway. I'm not convinced that my decision to comment on NoCal implies that I care about them one way or the other.
What other reason is there for you to say anything about them, then? If you didn't care about them, you wouldn't be spending time and energy discussing them.
Matt: I dunno, I spend time doing lots of worthless things :)
