You mean the big, yellow circle that's over our head? How else would it look? Unless you live in Japan... apparently it's a red circle over there.
It's only a red circle when it's rising.
Oh, and some cultures classify colors differently. There are some who believe green and blue to be shades of the same color; others who think purple is a shade of red; and still others who make distinctions between colors that we lump together. I don't know how the Japanese classify color, it may be that for them, what we call red and yellow are different shades of the same color.
