Why isn't there a way to listen to radio stations on my cell phone? Why don't stations offer a number to call to listen to their programming via telephone? Maybe I should just buy a Walkman... the problem is that I hate anything that uses batteries I have to replace. Batteries are so 20th century.

Oh, that's easy. Just take out your cell phone, hold it up to your ear, and turn on the nearest radio.
You might want to keep an eye on the Apple/Motorola alliance. Apple already lets you listen to radio via their iTunes application. I don't see why a fast cellular net connection wouldn't also work. I think that the prices might be out of most people's reach right now but that's just a guess.
Hi. First and foremost i want you to know that i reside in South Africa - Johannesburg. Here in SA we have cellphones which one can buy and listen to radio stations any time and anywhere. The ranges are "Nokia", "Motorola", "Siemens", "Sony Ericsson", etc. Try their one of there websites - www.nokia.com I'm sure you'll find some interesting things there.
People do this with Russ Martin. When Dallasites travel out of state, a lot of them will call in and then ask to be put on hold so they can listen to the show. Really. Russ finally had to get CBS to let him put the show on the internet because they were tying up too many call lines.
