I wasn't going to write about the NBA brawl, but now I kinda have to since no one else is making the obvious point: it was awesome. I mean, sure, in theory the audience shouldn't be throwing stuff at players and the players shouldn't be charging into the stands, but c'mon... don't sit there and tell me you didn't watch the video with bloodthirsty anticipation. So yeah, hand out suspensions and fines and press criminal charges -- those also make for great entertainment! -- but don't act so sanctimonious, as if the otherwise-snow-driven purity of NBA Basketball has been tragically besmirched.

LOL... you're right, it was awesome.
On a side now, how do you do that "anti-spam code" thing? Where do I sign up?
You know I was pretty upset by the behaivor of those guys. But now that you bring it to point, I watched it every time they replayed it. You're right is was great!
It's a marketing triumph for the NBA. Of course, they can't acknowledge this, but it's true. When was the last time anybody talked about the NBA before the playoffs began?
Boxing Glove Night anyone?
BL: Google for "scode" and you'll find it.
Moos: Yeah, I'm sure Stern was a lot happier behind the scenes than he appeared in front of cameras!
As a woman, I did like the fighting to a point. But when a man threw a chair, and I saw a crying kid by his mom, my instincts kicked in and I got so upset/riled up my husband was laughing at me. It is fun to watch until you realize your romanticised notion of the 'brawl' isn't true. I would much rather see that happen in a movie, or in an adult only crowd. That's why I like football. Each of those guys is adult and knows what he's getting into. Yet it is unpredictable and physical.
Not to mention I could have gotten seriously hurt if I had been there! Too dangerous for me.
