I don't shop much or spend a lot of money on frivolous things, but if I'm ever a millionaire there are two luxuries in which I will indulge. I'll wear new socks every day, and sleep on a new pillow every night. What about you?

I read somewhere long ago that George Hamilton does that with his socks - a new pair every day.

I'm an avid coffee drinker...I'll have a coffee pot right in my bedroom- oops. I already did that. Okay, I'll drink out of a new coffee cup every day.

All my new-book purchases will be hardcovers.

I forget who it was who said he wanted to be rich enough to live the rest of his life in a hotel, by which he meant a four star hotel in New York, with room service. It's not my ideal, but I thought it was interesting.

When I was a poor college student, I dreamed of having the financial freedom to eat whatever I wanted without worrying about the grocery bill. I'm there now, but I buy groceries at Kroger's and Wal-Mart instead of The Fresh Market because I have other things I want to spend money on now.

Along with a 90 foot Hatteras Convertible, I would like to have an army of servants I can dictate to how to sculpt the bushes. These servants understand English as well as French and German.

I second Francis' comment.

And my gadget/computer upgrade cycle would probably move from roughly a year to three months instead.

Cars, and a nice house that I design myself.

And, I guess, being able to fly anywhere I want at any time I want in 1st or business class.

Other than that, I don't really think I'd be into material things that much. The ability (and the free time) to travel mean a lot more to me.

Similar to John S. I would fly wherever I want with no two-weeks'-notice. And I would live somewhere with a great view.

These are all pretty good.

m: I've wanted to add a tower onto my house for a while now, but it's hard to get permits.

I'd hire a school-double so I could spend my last three semesters training for races/marathons and playing tennis (or XBox, or XBox tennis!) all day with my fiance.

Nike also has a sweet customizable shoe (Bella Shox, greatest shoe ever for women) that is the only shoe I've used thus far that can hold up on 10-15 mile runs, but is far too expensive for me to own more than one pair. I'd buy a pair in every color combination required to match all my running outfits. I mean a girl has got to look good when she's sweating like some sort of farm animal.

Oh and I'd replace them whenever they got dirty looking.

Geez, most of the stuff I came up with sounded far too practical in my head. I found it easier to come up with practical uses for the money than frivolous ones.

- A home with a room for every task. I hate that my bedroom is also my study is also my closet. A room just for sleeping. A room just for chaning clothes. A room just for reading.
- I'd have a maid put freshly laundered sheets on my bed each night. And the sheets would be like a foot extra on each side so they'd stay tucked in throughout the night. And they'd all be like 1000-thread count sheets. And there'd be ample AC in the room to keep me under the covers all night.

I'll go with the new-socks thing. Put on a brand-new, never worn, pair every morning, then toss them when I take them off.

I'd _never_ put a pair on more than once
