I finished my first book this weekend and I'm hoping to get some people to read it this week. I'm sure I'll do some editing still, but the main trust of the work is done. It's just a short book about monsters for kids, but I think it's pretty good. Let's see what happens now....

If you are looking for readers...Myself and my two boys enjoy reading.
Congratulations!
My kids are 6 and 4 (and like to read and be read to, respectively). I bet they'd be glad to take your book for a spin.
Your first book? Congradulations. I really don't see how you have time to do all this: a book, this website, pursuing your phd. Do you sleep at night? What's your secret?

All: Thanks for the offers, I'll consider them once I get some initial feedback and need some more readers for a final draft.
C: Maybe it's because I don't watch much TV? :)
Now comes the dreaded (at least for me) editing stage. Generally with my books that takes longer than writing the bloody thing. Of course, I have been known to write a book in 3 weeks so...
As with most things, the first book is the hardest.
Congrats, Michael.
