I think it's a bad idea to predict anything this far out. Any political poll taken before Labor Day is about as reliable as a CNN online poll.

OK, I take that back; some things are OK to predict. For instance, I'm reasonably confident that Bush will carry Texas, Mississippi and Alabama, while Kerry will carry Massachusetts, Hawaii and Vermont. No matter how the election goes, Kerry shouldn't have too much trouble beating that spready.
