Fallujans explain why killing Americans is justified:
"Islam bans what was done to the bodies, but the Americans are as brutal as the youths who burned and mutilated the bodies," said Mahdi Ahmed Saleh, a retired school principal who now runs a small grocery store. "They have done so much to us and they have humiliated us so often."What a cheerful bunch. Look who's side you're on, Kos.Saleh, like most men in Fallujah, singled out raids on homes as the most troubling U.S. military practice.
"Look at this wide and long street," he said. "Do you see any women? So, if we don't let them out on the street, can you imagine how we feel when American soldiers barge in and see them in their sleeping gowns?"

Raids on homes? Whose homes? Under what circumstances? Were murderers or terrorists seen entering those homes in the recent past? Was ordnance flying out of those homes in the recent past? Context matters, you know.
As for the "humiliation" thing: You've overplayed that gambit, Omar. From now on, "humiliation" will be the least of your worries. The United States Marines will see to that.
Please support my campaign to stick it to Kos's advertisers.

Maybe we should ask the women how they feel. Oh, that's right. They're not allowed to have opinions, either.
Holy cow, Bryan C, you made my comment a full DAY before I even thought I was going to have a comment. This is something I completely don't understand - where is the indignation of the left at the humiliating mistreatment of the female population of this wacky society? How can anyone condemn the US for trying, even as a side benefit, to bring a little humanity-civility-decency to this backwards part of the world?
I would think the left and all the feminists would be agitating for change in that part of the world, rather than condemning the change that is taking place thanks to our intervention.
Can anyone help me out on this? I just don't get it. Mass murder, stoning, forced sexual mutilation, "we don't allow our women out on the streets" - aaaarrrgggggh!
Rick: Further proof that the left's social moralizing is merely a facade.
alright gents! Let me tell you something. The reason Omars view is the way it is, is because of the society itself. Jsut like catholics and christians, muslims grow up being spoonfed ideas. Do any of you know where these ideas come from? NO? well let me tell you. They come from the koran and when you do not have a seperation of church and state, this is bound to happen. You justify killing(in a muslim perspective) as doing the will of the one god allah. Now im not catholic and im not christian and im not atheism. I am a toaist. We are all a part of the same whole. Understanding and accepting others and their way is virtuous. I am not saying that the killing of americans is correct. I am just telling you that it is called the killing of infidels(aka americans, mainly jews). The biblr says an eye for an eye. I dont agree with this notion. There is something wrong to be found with everything. You cannot have good without bad. But who are you and i to say what is good and bad? We arent authorities, we are entities. Well i have to go to my logic and ethics class now. Just thought id fill you kids in.
sorry about the spelling...
oh yeah! Read a book called brave new world. Might learn something, because the only way you can be happy it seems is for everyone to be the same and ignorance is bliss you genius!
Mars: Most of what you wrote is nonsense, largely because your axiom that "you cannot have good without bad" isn't true.
BNR is one of those books people like to say they've read because they think it makes them sound smart.
Some of what Mars wrote was true. For example, the part about him not being Catholic or Christian is probably true, and the part about him not being "atheism" certainly is. I'm a bit more skeptical about his claim that he is a piece of toast.
