This CNN story makes it sounds like women are very high maintenance travelers.
The NYU survey found that the top three amenities women "must have" to be productive on the road are a mini-bar, brand-name bath amenities and spa services.Earlier this year the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, Australia welcomed women with the "Business Pamper Package," which included skin care products and use of the fitness and business center.
Other hotels from Stockholm to the U.S. are also throwing in regular yoga sessions for their female business travelers.

Dang! I really need to work harder at being the "average woman" I guess. I'm bummed -- here I thought I was high maintenance! :)
I have never been that high maintenance! But then, I've never been in a position to be.
Although, I've often thought about what would change if I ever won the lottery (hah!), and I suspect I still wouldn't be that high maintenance. Well, except for having a fully computerized house, with a housekeeper and gardener...
Yoga... isn't that where you sit around in an uncomfortable position and hum to nothingness? OK, I'm ignorant on this, but isn't this something the traveler can do on their own at no cost? How does a hotel chain "throw" this in? How much more does this "free yoga session" cost me, the low maintenance yoga-free traveler?
- OUCH! -
I'm asking too many questions!
- Must...
- - go...
- - - hummm m m m m m . . . .
All I need is a gym. You can forget the mini-bar, and I can bring my own shampoo, thanks.

My wee wifey's minimum standard of acceptability for a motel is that it not have faded mirrors on all the walls. When we stayed at one this fall which had a mini-fridge in the room she was downright impressed.
