Fallen King

Stealing a great idea from Jason Wall, I'm going to put little pictures up on the left bar as a sort of "daily photo", except that I doubt I'll change it daily. Since the pictures will depend entirely on my whims, I'm calling them "whimages" (whim + images). Yes, incredibly cheesy.

I'm going to put the images into their own MT category so they get archived and saved, and people can comment on them if they'd like to. We'll see how this works.

This first picture, "Fallen King", was chosen because it reflects one of the two meanings of the name of this blog: "Master of None". No one wants to be a slave, but everyone still wants to be someone's master. But not me! I'm proud to be the master of none.

President Lincoln said: "As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy."

When I read "Master of None" the first time, I thought of the saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" so I got the sense that you would blog about just about anything, but may not be an expert on anything, a fair enough assessment, I would guess.

It never occurred to me to think of the other meaning in the sense of rulership.

Yep, that's the other meaning.

Whimages isn't cheesy... i've been using that name for my pictures and one of my websites for a while... Whimsical and images as well. ^^ Great minds think alike, eh? You're not going to get mad because I use that for my website, are you?

The comment login system is acting strange. If you get an error message saying you aren't logged in when you are, just reload the comment page and try again. I'm trying to track this bug down, but it's not easy.
