There was Michael Williams. Now there is also Mr. Northover, your friendly neighborhood foil. This is the beginning of a little experiment where both Michael and I will be posting on this site. I am not the one who initiated it, and I don't know for sure how well this is going to go, as I am not quite the prolific writer that Michael is, nor have I ever felt much of a desire to share my thoughts with other people in a forum like this, except perhaps when Peter Gammons says something exceptionally ludicrous.

I guess I'll put a little more about myself in here...I, like Michael, am a UCLA graduate, and while we studied computer science together we (I) quickly diverged and I ended with a degree in economics. I actually care for and know things about sports, and I'm much taller than Michael.

I don't, at the moment, have any idea what I'll be posting about. I imagine it will be very similar to the subjects Michael already covers, with perhaps some sports musings thrown in for good measure. Michael and I seldom agree on anything important, but I will not be writing things solely to disagree with him (I hope), the subjects I choose should have nothing to do with what he posts as I mostly don't read them anyway (and I don't expect any better for my own writing). If I do start just rebutting, I may as well just write in the comments section of his, uh, lovely articles.

The comment login system is acting strange. If you get an error message saying you aren't logged in when you are, just reload the comment page and try again. I'm trying to track this bug down, but it's not easy.
